If you have seen the chaulk messages along the bike path, and around neighborhoods, what is your opinion on the messages being left? Similar messages have been pasted on signs over the walking over pass near LBE and pacheco park.

“Why aren’t you at Little League practice?” Dad asked Junior, when Dad walked in the door from work.

“It was called off, because we don’t have anywhere to practice at.” Junior turned back to his video game.

“What do you mean you don’t have anywhere to practice?” he demanded. Junior was concentrating on stealing a car and killing people on the TV screen and didn’t hear his father. “Hey! I said ‘what d o you mean you don’t have anywhere to practice?’”

Junior rolled his eyes and paused the game. “I mean the coach called and said there are no parks open. In fact he said I should thank you for that.”

I've lived in Los Banos for 17 years, moved to San Francisco for 2 and recently moved back only to hear stories of carjackings, shootings, drug and alcohol abuse amongst high schoolers, etc. Basically, this town turned into a mini-East Oakland for the most part. Years ago, there were rarely any incidents on crime (that I can recall). Where did this town go wrong?

Now there's people carjacking teenagers WITH infants?! A 16 year old was shot in the arm? It's completely pathetic! What once was a family-oriented town is now infested with crimes and gangs.

My solution for all this is a stronger law enforcement team by patrolling more and even undercover cops working on cases with gangs and drugs, better lighting for our streets, more check-points randomly dispersed, etc.
